Software Developer

Your team and goals

As a Senior Software Developer at Livestock Management work in an inspiring environment. You get the chance to make a difference by taking the initiative yourself. We assume a lot of personal responsibility and ownership. The software team of Nedap Livestock management consists of software developers, supplemented by product owners and test engineers. Within the software team, sub teams are working on applications in the Cloud, Fog or Edge. The tasks of the sub teams are closely interwoven. The software team has a multidisciplinary nature.

In the position of Senior Software Developer you are closely involved with the design process of the application, where you ensure prefect implementation of the demands of the stockbreeder. In addition you will be responsible, together with the team, for a future-proof and maintainable architecture of the applications. You can document the architecture and technical specifications to be transferred for development or develop them yourself at both front end or back end level. Finally, you are prepared to fulfil the role of scrum master in an agile environment.

Required experience and skills

You have a completed Higher Vocational Education or scientific education training Computer science and have knowledge of .NET and Java. You are able to deal with microservices and the organisation of relational and NoSQL databases. Furthermore, knowledge of Microsoft Azure is a plus. You have sound technical expertise and are able to actively participate in discussions about future developments and software architecture. You have excellent communicative skills and are capable of discussing complicated subjects in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Occasional travelling for work is not an issue for you.
